Wrote a brilliant blogpost about Christmas. She got stuck in the Santa Claus parade too. I un-endeared myself by muttering exCUSE me! rudely as I pushed through the crowd at Avenue and Bloor that I just happened to hit at the exact moment Santa did. Bah.

Thanks Cate. I was thinking after I wrote it that I also find it funny that the Pride parade, which celebrates life, love, diversity and freedom is so "embarrassing" to the city of Toronto (although they enjoy the money it brings in, to be sure) and yet this parade, which might as well consist of floats made up of giant fibreglass money signs, is so supported and anticipated by so many.
